Details, Explanation and Meaning About JRM Mars

JRM Mars Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The Martin JRM Mars was a US Navy flying boat transport of World War II and the Cold War period. Developed from a converted patrol bomber design (the XPB2M-1R Mars), the Mars was a purpose-built transport derivative. Six were built beginning in June 1945, with the last delivered in 1947. Two were lost in accidents, but the remaining "Big Four" flew record amounts of cargo on the San Francisco-Honolulu route efficiently until 1956.

The largest flying boats ever to enter production, two still fly today with Fairey Aviation of British Columbia as gigantic water bombers.
