John G. Bennett Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

John G. Bennett student of G. I. Gurdjieff, an author of many books on the teachings of Gurdjieff and an engineer. He met Gurdjieff while he was a British Navy officer in Constantinople (present day Istanbul) in 1920-1922 and then helped to direct the work of Gurdjieff in England after Gurdjieff arrived in Paris.

He also played a role in the development of Subud, inviting its founder Bapak to the UK, and to his home in Coombe Springs in 1957, turning Subud into a world wide association. He wrote the book "Concerning Subud", perhaps the most academic study made of the Latihan.
