Jeringozo Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Jeringozo is a language game on the Spanish language played by children in Argentina. It consists on adding a syllable with the same letters, but swapping the starting consonant with the P, after the pronounced syllable. For example "no sé" (I don't know) turns into "nopo sepe".Jeringozo comes from the Spanish language word jerigonza, which means a specific language or speaking style from a group (i.e.: jargon), and is sometimes it mispronounced as jeringonza.
Although it is found in other Spanish language speaking countries besides Argentina, Jeringozo seems not to be recognized as this wordplay's name in other countries. (Uruguay possibly knows the game under the same name).
In other Spanish-speaking countries, similar games add ti before each syllable, thus giving tipetirro and tigatito for the above examples.
Brazilian children have a similar game known in Portuguese as Língua do Pê (P language).
