  • Person: 'who', 'whom', 'whose', 'whoever', 'whosoever', 'whomever', 'whomsoever', 'whosever'
  • Thing: 'what', 'wherein', 'whereof',
  • Place: 'where', 'whence', 'wherefrom', 'whither', 'whereon', 'wherever'
  • Time: 'when'
  • Means: 'how'
  • Reason: 'why', 'how come'
  • Purpose: 'wherefore', 'what for', 'whereto', 'whereunto' (see final clauses)
