Inert Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Inert is the state of doing little or nothing. In chemistry, the term inert is used to describe something that is not chemically active. The noble gases were once thought to be inert because they did not react with the more common elements. Now scientists know that only the inert gases are completely inert to basic chemical reactions (such as burning), for example, because their outer valence shell is filled with electrons.
