Hydroplaning Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

A hydroplaning or planing boat hull skims across the surface of the water rather than pushing through the water in the way a traditional displacement hull works. Hydroplaning is also an important concern in car safety (see Hydroplaning (road vehicle)).

Hydroplaning in boating is primarily used to refer to the racing of fast motorised boats which are designed to plane, known as hydroplane racing, although it can be used in the U.S. to simply mean the action of a small planing boat.
