Details, Explanation and Meaning About Hutchinson River Parkway

Hutchinson River Parkway Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The Hutchinson River Parkway, also called "The Hutch," is a parkway that runs through Westchester County, New York and the Bronx in New York City. At the New York/Connecticut state line, it runs into the Merritt Parkway.

Urban legend has it that it was deliberately designed by the mayor at the time to have low bridges to prevent low income families from bringing their trailers to more "pristine" regions.

The river and the parkway are named after Anne Hutchinson.
