Hush Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
For the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode, see Hush (Buffy episode)"Hush" is a song by Deep Purple. It was the band's first hit ca. 1968. It was previously recorded by Billy Joe Royal in 1967. Then it was recorded by Blue Swede as a medley in 1975.
"Hush" is also a song by Tool. It is from the band's EP, Opiate (released in 1992), and became their first music video, which possibly never receives any airing on TV. The song satirizes the perceived excesses of censorship and, in the video, shows the band members nude with tape over their mouths and signs hanging over their crotches reading "parental advisory: explicit parts" (a parody of the "parental advisory: explicit lyrics" logo).
