The Hungarian bow is a symmetric, composite and recurve bow. It was invented in Central Asia.It improved the Hun bow making it symmetric, increasing the size of its lower part. Thus it was of longer range and more accurate. The rider had to stand up from sitting in the saddle, that was made possible by a new invention of Central Asia, the stirrup. See also composite bow.
