Alternate meaning: HeroQuest, a revised version of the Hero Wars role-playing game, and Hero's Quest, later retitled Quest for Glory.Hero Quest is a board game created by Games Workshop and Milton Bradley, set in the Warhammer Fantasy fictional universe. The game was based loosely around archetypes of fantasy role-playing games; like tabletop role-playing games, the game itself was actually a game system, allowing the gamemaster (in Hero Quest parliance, "Zargon") to create dungeons of his or her own design using the provided game board, tiles, furnishings and monsters. Four expansions packs were released, each adding new tiles, artifacts and, in the latter two packs, new monsters to the core system. A computer game adaptation was also released in 1991, forcing Sierra On-Line to rename their Hero's Quest series to Quest for Glory. Later editions of the game were called Advanced Hero Quest and Warhammer Quest.
