Harry Pierpont
Born in Muncie, Indiana on October 13, 1903. Most noted for being a member of the Dillinger Gang. Pierpont met Dillinger while both were incarcerated at the Pendleton Reformatory where he was serving time for robbery. In 1934 he was sentenced to death for the murder of Sheriff Jesse Sarber, who was killed while Pierpont and other gang members broke Dillinger out of prison in Lima, Ohio. During the attack Pierpont was shot in the head and the back but survived to be executed via electric chair on October 17, 1934.
