Haderslev (German Hadersleben) is a municipality in south Denmark, in the county of South Jutland on the peninsula of Jutland. The municipality covers an area of 272 km², and has a total population of 31,827.From 1864 to 1920, it was part of Prussia and as such part of the North German Confederation and, from 1871 onwards, part of the German Empire.
