Habib R. Sulemani is a poet, writer and journalist. Love, peace, humanity, interfaith harmony and global prosperity are the main subjects of his writings. He has witten in leading English and Urdu newspapers of Pakistan, including the daily Dawn, The News International, and the daily Jang. He has been quoted in the United Nations Commission on Human Rights' 59th session held in Geneva. His writings have been translated to many languages and published in newspapers in various countries. He has edited two books; one in Urdu on the fifty-year history of Pakistan and the other in English on the history of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. He has been writing in three languages and anthologies of his English, Urdu and Wakhi poetry, fiction, essays and research works are being compiled. He has extensively written on the Wakhi language and culture of Gojal Hunza, most of it is yet unpublished.Sulemani was born in Gulmit, Gojal, Hunza, in Pakistan-administrated Gilgit-Baltistan, officially known as the Northern Areas of Pakistan.
