Gull wing doors is the term used for car doors which opens upwards. Most conventional car doors open side ways. This type of doors can be found in many exotic sports cars. The most well known is Lamborghini, hence also known as "Lambo" doors.

Gull wing door conversion can be performed to most vehicles with after-market kits which uses existing doors and replacement hinge mechanism.

There are several types of gull wing doors.

1. Door opens straight up, eg Lamborghini Diablo (also known as "butterfly doors").
2. Door has a top hinge, eg De Lorean DMC-12 or Volvo YCC
3. Door sweeps to the top of the vehicle, eg Toyota Sera.
