The term ground loop has more than one meaning:
- In electrical and electronic engineering, a ground loop refers to an unwanted current that flows in a conductor connecting two points that are nominally at the same potential, for example ground potential, but are actually at different potentials.
- In aviation circles, the term ground loop refers to the rapid circular rotation of an aircraft in the horizontal plane whilst on the ground.
