Great Western Turnpike Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The Great Western Turnpike was a series of toll roads that crossed part of New York State from east to west.The first of these roads was started in in 1799 in Albany, New York where the present Western Avenue is located and eventually extended to the Finger Lakes.
