Grace Park was born Ji-Eun Park on June 3, 1979 in Seoul, South Korea, and is a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour.She moved to Hawaii aged 12, and then to Phoenix, Arizona, eventually attending Arizona State University.
Park had an outstanding amateur career in the USA, winning all major amateur championships in 1998, and even placing T8 as an amateur in the 1999 U.S. Women's Open. She turned pro that same year, and earned her LPGA card for 2000 by coming top of the SBC Futures Tour money list.
She has won at least one tournament each season since joining the LPGA Tour, including her first major (the Kraft Nabisco Championship, where she finished a stroke ahead of Aree Song in 2004).
Her popularity and status derives from more than just her golfing prowess. What the Boston Globe has described as "the striking beauty, the tall and proud walk, the dazzling smile" has attracted sponsor interest from the likes of Nike and Rolex.
