Gnasher's Tale was a comic strip in The Beano children's magazine that the fictional character Gnasher used to star in. It ran from 1977 to 1986, and was drawn by David Sutherland. In the strip, Gnasher would tell stories from when he was a puppy.As well as Dennis the Menace, Gnasher currently stars alongside his son, Gnipper, in Gnasher and Gnipper, the strip that replaced Gnasher's Tale when Gnipper was born. When Gnasher went missing for a short time in 1986, the strip was replaced with Foo Foo's Fairy Story, Foo Foo being the pet poodle of Walter the Softy.
