Geli Raubal Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Angela "Geli" Raubal (June 4, 1908 - September 18, 1931) was the daughter of Adolf Hitler's half sister, Angela Raubal. It is widely believed that Hitler had incestuous sexual relations with Geli, or at least had a more intimate relationship with her than is traditionally proper between an uncle and a niece.Hitler kept a tight rein over his niece by not allowing her to associate with friends freely, and by attempting to have himself or one of his men around her at all times. Despite Hitler's attempts to control her, she turned out to a free-spirited young woman who did whatever she pleased whenever and wherever possible. At one point she even had an affair with Hitler's chauffeur, who was fired as a result.
She was found dead in Hitler's Munich apartment on September 18, 1931, at the age of 23. The official cause of death was given as suicide, but it must be kept in mind that already at that time Hitler had some influence over the Munich police officials, so it cannot be known if they were being objective or not. Historians have speculated that Hitler shot her, or had her shot, as she was killed by a bullet from his gun. Nobody knows what really happened. Historians have written that Hitler was deeply in love with her, that she was the love of his life, and that after her death, he was forever a changed man, for the worse. It has been speculated that he shot her after discovering that she was in love with another man and had been seeing him, despite his attempts to have her guarded closely. Most historians believe she was distraught over her relationship with Hitler, could not escape it, and killed herself as a result.
