Fyborg (a portmanteau word combining functional, cybernetic, and organism) or Functional Cyborg is an organism that has become a kind of cyborg by extending its senses and abilities using technology.The term fyborg was coined by Alexander Chislenko to differentiate between the man-machine creations of science fiction and the everyday ways that we extend ourselves using technologies such as contact lenses, hearing aids, and mobile phones.
