Freeze distillation Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Freeze distillation is the process in which alcohol is removed from water by means of freezing the mixture to a temperature below water's freezing point (0 degrees Celsius). This process freezes the water, but not the alcohol, which has a much lower freezing point (-117 degrees Celsius). The frozen ice can now be removed from the mixture, and further distillation can begin. This method is crude, but much more practical and less expensive than other traditional boiling distillation methods.
