Freefall (webcomic) Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Freefall is a popular webcomic written and drawn by Mark Stanley, which began on March 30, 1998. It is a humorous science fiction story cataloguing the misadventures of the starship Savage Chicken and its crew: Sam Starfall, a lovable two-timing con artist; Helix, a childlike robot; and Florence Ambrose, a genetically engineered "Bowman's Wolf."A running gag is that, since the Bowman's Wolf species is brand new, robots have not yet been programmed to recognize them specifically. Upon seeing Florence for the first time, they invariably exclaim "doggy!" - the closest match they have. Fortunately, robots in the Freefall universe are generally smart enough to understand that Florence is no ordinary dog. Indeed, after Florence risked her life to save several robots from destruction, they have come to respect her greatly.
