Freedom Press is the oldest surviving anarchist publishing house in the world. It is based in Whitechapel in the East End of London. Alongside its many books and pamphlets, the group also publishes a fortnightly newspaper, Freedom.The Press was started in the 1886 by a group of friends, including Peter Kropotkin, who were already publishing the Freedom newspaper.
Freedom Press have published titles by Clifford Harper, Dennis Gould, Colin Ward, Murray Bookchin, Gaston Leval, William Blake and many others, including 43 issues of the journal The Raven.
