Fourth grade is a year of education in the United States and other countries four years after kindergarten (usually 9-10 years old.) It is a part of elementary school.
- In the United States, in mathematics, fourth graders are usually taught how to add and subtract fractions and decimals. Long division is also generally introduced here, and addition, subtraction, and multiplication of whole numbers is extended to larger numbers.
