Flag of Mississippi Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The flag of Mississippi echoes the Confederate 'Stars and Bars' flag and the Confederate battle flag. It was adopted in 1894.
On April 17, 2001, the voters of the state opted to retain the 1894 flag, over a new flag that some considered less offensive.
