EON Productions Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
EON Productions is a film production company best known for the James Bond movie franchise. EON stands for "Everything or Nothing". It was started by the famous James Bond producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman in 1961. In 1975 after nine movies, Harry Saltzman sold his shares to United Artists (the Bond series distributor). Later in 1996 Albert R. Broccoli passed away. EON Productions is currently owned by the Broccoli family, specifically Albert R. Broccoli's daughter, Barbara Broccoli, and his stepson, Michael G. Wilson. Both of which are current producers of the James Bond movies. EON Productions operates out of Pinewood Studios and is a subsidiary of Danjaq, L.L.C, the holding company partially responsible (along with UA) for the copyright and trademarks to the Bond characters and elements. Danjaq's name is a clever combination of Broccoli's and Saltman's wives names.Since their first movie in 1962, Dr. No, there has only been one film made by EON Productions that wasn't a part of the Bond franchise.
In 2004 Electronic Arts developed a video game with the James Bond licence titled Everything or Nothing, which was named after the production company.
