Encino is a community of the City of Los Angeles, and an unofficial district in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Encino is bounded by Victory Boulevard, Mulholland Drive, Lindley Avenue and the roughly by the 405 freeway.Per the 2000 Census, the population of Encino was: 40,946; population density: 3,864.9 per sq. mile, population under 18: 18.25%; population Over 64: 20.08%; housing units: 18,519; land area: 10.59 square miles (27.44 square kilometers); and water area: 0.13 square miles (0.33 square kilometers)
