East Yorkshire Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
East Yorkshire was a local government district in England from April 1, 1974 to April 1, 1996, in the administrative county of Humberside. It covered part of the eastern area in the historic county of Yorkshire, but not the entire East Riding. The district was created as North Wolds, but renamed itself later.
It was abolished in 1996 and merged into the new East Riding of Yorkshire local government district, which covers a much larger area.
