Details, Explanation and Meaning About Dynamic theory of gravity

Dynamic theory of gravity Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Nikola Tesla's dynamic theory of gravity was an attempt to ascertain a theory between gravitational radiation and the electromagnetic force as a unified field theory (a model over matter and energy). Tesla's proposition that gravity is a field effect is now given more serious consideration by some. At the time of his announcement, his critique on Einstein's work was considered by the scientific establishment to exceed the bounds of reason. Nowadays it is simply ignored.

No mathematical details of the theory are available, nor is there any evidence that Tesla ever worked them out.

The theory was developed initially between 1892 and 1894, during the period that he was conducting experiments with high frequency and high potential electromagnetism, and was never published. Though these principles guided his future research and experiments, Tesla did not announce it until near the end of his life. The theory is disputed.

Dynamic theory of gravity

Tesla published a prepared statement on his 81st birthday (July 10, 1937) critiquing Albert Einstein's theory of relativity. The following is a portion of that statement:

"... Supposing that the bodies act upon the surrounding space causing curving of the same, it appears to my simple mind that the curved spaces must react on the bodies, and producing the opposite effects, straightening out the curves. Since action and reaction are coexistent, it follows that the supposed curvature of space is entirely impossible - But even if it existed it would not explain the motions of the bodies as observed. Only the existence of a field of force can account for the motions of the bodies as observed, and its assumption dispenses with space curvature. All literature on this subject is futile and destined to oblivion. So are all attempts to explain the workings of the universe without recognizing the existence of the ether and the indispensable function it plays in the phenomena."
"My second discovery was of a physical truth of the greatest importance. As I have searched the entire scientific records in more than a half dozen languages for a long time without finding the least anticipation, I consider myself the original discoverer of this truth, which can be expressed by the statement: There is no energy in matter other than that received from the environment." — Nikola Tesla

While this statement asserted that Tesla had "worked out a dynamic theory of gravity" that he soon hoped to give to the world, he reportedly died before he publicized the details. Few details were revealed by Tesla about his theory.

As an alternative to Einstein's general relativity, the Dynamic theory of gravity was supposed to explain the fields of gravity through electrodynamics. Tesla did not accept Einstein's special theory and its equating of matter and energy, nor of the curvature of space-time. Details of Tesla's theory that are available subsist of basic arguments against space being curved by gravitational effects, which leads some to believe Tesla failed to understand Einstein's theory is not about curved space at all, but curved space-time (though there is disagreement about Tesla's exact understanding of Einstein's theories; Tesla was actively conducting his research during the time of Einstein's research ).

Tesla stated that there was no energy in matter other than that received from its environment. Tesla understood and did not accept the mass-energy equivalence as delineated by relativity. This mass-energy equivalence is now undisputed in the scientific community as it shows up in very broad range of effects:

  • The mass deficit of atomic nuclei, i.e. that atomic nuclei weigh less than the sum of their parts
  • The energy released by particle-antiparticle collisions and absorbed by particle-antiparticle pair creation
  • The increasing inertial mass of particles in storage rings, when their velocity goes near light speed.

Tesla rejected the central concept of relativity.

Theory structure

Note: the structure of Tesla's theory is not known. The reconstruction attempted below is speculative.

Tesla's theory states that the phenomena produced by electromagnetic forces is the most important phenomenon in the universe. According to gleanings from this theory, mechanicalal motions are universally a result of electromagnetic force acting through media. No mathematical details of the theory are known to survive; only words. Tesla's theory may be based on James Clerk Maxwell's original work, becuase it was one of his most used references.[1] Because that work is in quaternions, one can assume that Tesla used this for his theory.

Tesla calls attention to a "field of force" being indispensable for explaining the movements of astronomical objects (a concept that fields model the phenomenon more preciselyly). This theory is a logical extension of the rotating magnetic field model. Dynamic theory of gravity does not include the "curvature of space". The theory claims four dimensions (x, y, z, t) and the field of force is not commutative. Einstein's theory of general relativity claims that space itself is curved as well as claiming that space-time is curved (the two according to Einstein are equivalent).

The theory refers to an aether, but Tesla's aether is not analogous to classical aether theories. The theory refers to an aether similar in terms to electromagnetics (and, ultimately, eliminates the concepts of aether as a medium [which is held by classical aether theories]). Lord Kelvin's explanation of the aether corresponds closely to Tesla's views of the aether. Tesla's aether is more akin to sound waves. Its properties varied according to velocity, frequency, resonance, the medium, and the surrounding environment.

Tesla electromagnetics are composed of space-time potentials and their corresponding motion. This potential's motion caused in the surrounding medium an equivalent and opposite effect (determining the positive and negative character of the medium).

Some elements of the theory may include:

  • Electromagnetic energy fills all space-time (referred to as radiant energy).
  • Electromagnetic fields interact.
  • Energy is force over time (as with so much of the theory, it is hard to understand what this means. Force has units of ML/T^2. Energy has units of ML^2/T^2. It is not possible to make a consistent expression for energy in terms of force and time alone. Energy is, however, consistenly expressible as force times distance).
  • Media are constantly in motion in through space.
  • Motion through space produces time.
  • Electromagnetic effects produce rotating fieldss.
  • Electromagnetic entropy returns energy to potentials.
  • Self-regenerative hetrodyninging electromagnetic fields condense in space-time.
  • Media exposed to resonant vibrations of electromagnetic interact.
  • Electromagnetic potentials arrange themselves in groups according to the medium's polarization and the medium's dielectric resistance.
  • Modulatinging wide band frequencies of electromagnetic phenomenon permeate through all media.
  • Media filling space all possess a dielectric level.
  • Electromagnetic force is a phenomenon produced from a medium in space-time.
  • Absence of a medium would result in no electromagnetic forces (the vacuum is a medium).
  • Mechanical effects are produced by electromagnetic forces acting through media (i.e., momentum and inertia is electromagnetic)
  • Electromagnetic potentials of high frequency produce:
    • lower environmental interaction,
    • uniform movement without rotation through space-time
    • electromagnetic saturation [i.e., plasmas]
  • Stationary low frequency electromagnetics behave as waves.
  • A medium's electromagnetic fields creates attractive forces from negative polarity [or what is commonly referred to as "gravity"].
