The Dymock poets were a literary group of the early 20th century, who made their home in the Gloucestershire village of Dymock. They were Robert Frost, Lascelles Abercrombie, Rupert Brooke, Edward Thomas, Wilfred Wilson Gibson, and John Drinkwater, all of whom lived in the village in the period between 1911 and 1914. They published their own quarterly containing poems such as Brooke's masterpiece, The Soldier. The First World War resulted in the break-up of the community.This is an Article on Dymock poets.
