Frank Herbert's Dune was a three-part miniseries produced by the Sci-Fi Channel, a cable television channel. The series was first broadcast in 2000. Whereas many book fans consider the movie an unfaithful adaptation, the miniseries is considered to have come much closer to the philosophical and thematic point of view of the original.A follow-up miniseries called Frank Herbert's Children of Dune, continued the story.
