Dulwich College Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Dulwich College is a public (UK for elite private) school in Dulwich, in south London, England.
It was founded in 1619 by Edward Alleyn, a successful Elizabethan actor and contemporary of Ben Jonson and William Shakespeare. Its original purpose was the education of 12 poor scholars.
The 'New College' buildings were designed by Charles Barry, son of the architect of the Palace of Westminster of the same name.
There are two other schools in the same foundation, JAGS and Alleyn's.
