De La Rue is a British commercial printer and papermaker. The company was founded in London in 1821 by Thomas de la Rue (b. March 24, 1793 in Forest Guernsey). In 1958 Thomas de la Rue changed the corporate name to De La Rue Company Limited PLC, then to De La Rue PLC in 1991.
