David Foster Wallace (born February 21, 1962 in Philo, Illinois) is an American writer. He graduated from Amherst College in 1986 and from the University of Arizona. He is a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation "genius grant. He taught at Illinois State University for most of the 1990s. He began teaching at Pomona College in the fall of 2002.Fiction:
