The Curl programming language is a programming language designed to create interactive web content. It aims at replacing HTML, Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript with one unified formalism, but it is not widely used.

Curl is:

• a markup language like HTML, that is, plain text will be shown as text
• an object-oriented programming language that supports multiple inheritance

Curl applets can be viewed by means of "Curl Surge", a runtime environment (RTE) plug-in for web browsers.
