Crick, Brenner et al. experiment Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The Crick, Brenner et al. experiment was a scientific experiment performed in 1961 by Francis Crick and Sydney Brenner. The experiment elucidated the nature gene expression and frameshift mutations.

In the experiment, proflavin-induced mutations of the T4 bacteriophage gene, rIIB, were isolated. These mutants could not be reverted to wild type by point mutation. However, they could be reverted by using proflavin again to introduce a second mutation.
