Details, Explanation and Meaning About Cadence Records

Cadence Records Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Cadence Records was an American record company founded by Archie Bleyer (formerly musical director/orchestra leader for Arthur Godfrey) in 1952.

Its first recording star was Godfrey alumni Julius La Rosa. Other Godfrey alumni signed to the label included the Chordettes. The label also featured Andy Williams and the Everly Brothers. Candid Records was the company's short-lived jazz subsiduary.

Cadence had many hits in the 1950s and into the 1960s, but by 1964 it had fallen in its fortunes, and Bleyer shut it down and sold the masters to Williams.
