Boyz II Men is a Motown vocal group from Philadelphia, founded in 1988, consisting of Wanya Morris, Michael McCary, Shawn Stockman, and Nathan Morris. Based on the record sales, they are the most successful R&B group of all time. They had five U.S. #1 pop hits between 1992 and 1997, including "One Sweet Day," a collaboration with Mariah Carey that topped the U.S. charts for 16 weeks in 1995. They are also known as pop singer Lance Bass's favorite band. In September 2004, they performed at the Read-2-Lead Classic, a failed attempt to raise attendance at San Jose State University Spartan football games.
