Blitzkrieg (computer game) Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Blitzkrieg is a real-time strategic (RTS) WWII simulation computer game published by CDV Software that allows players to replay battles of World War II in Europe. The game is extremely historically accurate, from weapons design and effect to the sounds of tank motors.Graphics are accurate, giving a realistically 3-D rendered terrain as a playing field. Battles feature different seasons, climate zones, and weather conditions, all of which can affect game play. Blood and gore can be toggled on or off. There are over 350 different buildings and objects. During gameplay, players can build bridges, dig trenches and pits, lay mines, resupply and repair units and call in air support when needed. Virtually everything can be blown up, including buildings and bridges; it's just a matter of providing enough explosives. Trees and forests can be flattened by tanks or artillery fire, and the ground can become pockmarked with craters. The units of each nation speak that nation's language, adding immensely to the game's realistic feel.
The game includes mission and resource editors to create new games. The mission editor allows players to generate and add custom missions, chapters and campaigns according to the options most desired, from level of difficulty to type of action. The resource editor gives players total license to redesign the game, add or modify units, characteristics, colors, textures, sounds, and more.
