Bill Graham was born in Berlin, Germany. His birth name was Wolfgang Grajonca.As a concert promoter he booked many well known venues such as the Fillmore East, the *Fillmore West, and Winterland. Almost every well known artist/band of the 1960s and 1970s played in the venues. He was killed in a helicopter crash in 1991.
