Bicycle Day is April 19, commemorating April 19, 1943, when Dr. Albert Hofmann first took his invention LSD intentionally. Three days earlier, he'd absorbed a small amount of the drug through his fingertips. On Bicycle Day, he took 250µg of LSD and, fearing he had made himself ill, bicycled home from his lab.
