Balaguer Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Balaguer is the capital of the comarca of Noguera, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is located at 233 metres above the sea, by the river Segre, a tributary to the Ebre. Population 14,068 (2001).Balaguer was conquered from the Moors by the Counts of Urgell in 1106, who made it their new capital.
The town has a Gothic bridge over the Segre river.
