The city of Babruysk (Belarusian: Бабру́йск; Russian: Бобру́йск) is located in Mahilyow voblast of Belarus on the Berezina river. It is the sixth largest city in Belarus with a population of approximatelly 240,000 people.
The name Babruysk comes from the Belarussian word "bobr" (beaver), many of which inhabit the Berezina river.
