Aziza Mustafa Zadeh' is a singer/pianist of jazz fusion. She was born 19 December in the town of Baku (Azerbaijan. Her father Vagif Mustafa Zadeh has invented the jazz fusion style of music. Well-known as a great pianist player and composer, his daughter followed him later.
Aziza begins to sing at age of three. She studied classical piano and made debut on stage with his father, before his death at age thirty nine.
Her first album was released in 1991. It's a curious style including jazz and oriental music. In 1993 she wins a prestigious german jazz award. During the same year, she released Dance of fire which feature great musician like guitarist Al Di Meola, bassist Stanley Clarke, former drummer of Weather Report (group of feu Jaco Pastorius) Omar Hakim and saxophonist Bill Evans. This album has the same oriental jazz sonority.
