Alfred Harrison Joy (September 23 1882April 18 1973) was an American astronomer.

After graduating, he spent ten years teaching at the American University of Beirut. When World War I prevented his return to Beirut, he joined the staff of Mount Wilson Observatory and remained there nearly sixty years.

He won the Bruce Medal in 1950.

A crater on the Moon is named after him.
