Adam Scott (born June 16, 1980 in Adelaide, Australia), is a professional golfer and one of a crop of young Australians plying their trade on the major golf tours.Scott's good looks and Aussie charm have contributed to his popularity on tour, and placed him much in demand from corporate sponsors.
He is often talked of as a natural successor to Greg Norman, an impression reinforced when Norman's former caddy joined up with Scott in 2004.
His playing career took off in 2001, his first full year as a professional golfer, when he won the European Tour's Alfred Dunhill Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The following year he recorded two further European Tour victories, at the Quatar Masters and the Diageo Scottish PGA Championship.
2003 saw another European win in the Carlsberg Scandinavian Masters. More importantly, he secured his first win on the US PGA Tour, at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Further US-successes followed in 2004, with THE PLAYERS Championship and the Booz Allen Classic.
