2005 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
In 2005 the British and Irish Lions will tour New Zealand, for the first time since 1993.The team will be managed by former England international Bill Beaumont and coached by England coach Sir Clive Woodward, who will take a 44 man squad, 26 backroom staff.
The squad and the tour captain will be announced after the 2005 Six Nations tournament.
The Lions will play three test matches and several tour matches. The quality of the opposition in the tour matches is expected to be high.
