  • March 15 - Ernest Archdeacon and Henri Deutsche de la Meurthe contribute FF 25,000 each to the Grand Prix d'Aviation Deutsche-Archdeacon, to be awarded to the first pilot to fly a 1 km (0.6 mile) circuit and land safely.

April
  • April 1 - Captain Ferdinand Ferber makes a failed attempt to fly an Archdeacon glider at Berck sur Mer, Normandy.
  • April 3 - Gabriel Voisin successfully flies a modified Archdeacon glider at Berck sur Mer. Voisin added a canard to the design. His longest flight on this day was 25 seconds.

June September November
  • November 9 - Wilbur Wright flies 2.75 miles (4.4 km) at Dayton, Ohio, the first flight of longer than five minutes.
